Making a TV show and Editing

Now that we have all worked in the TV studio in order to produce our first TV show, what do you think the editing process entails?

Please answers some of these questions in your response:

What is the point of editing?
What is editing?
What are some examples of shows where you enjoy the editing?

The point of editing is to cut out any mistakes, change anything that needs to be changed or anything along those lines where you add or subtract something in order to make it better.

I can't think of any shows where I thoroughly enjoyed the editing...

I think that editing is pretty complicated if you're a beginner, but it will probably get easier the more times you do it. Editing is necessary because it helps you adjust the video in the way that you want it to be like, and to cut out the parts that you dislike. For me, a show that has good editing is one that has smooth transitions from one scene to another, such as most television shows.

I think editing is used a lot because in some shows, it makes it more interesting. Editing is when you make a video and go over it, and see what you can add or take away. A show where i really like the editing in is Scrubs, because it makes the show so much funnier when there are added sounds and stuff.

The point of editing our videos is so when people actually sees our videos, they won't notice any mistakes and instead see special effects. Editing is when you take something and improve it by fixing mistakes or by adding new things to make it look better.

Editing is taking all the recorded video and putting parts together and taking parts out to make the film more naturally flowing and without mistakes. You take the film you have and make it the way that you want it.

The point of editing is to make a show better. Editing allows you to cut footage. This way you can put all of your best takes into the final product. Also you can add music and narration. All together editing makes a more professional video. I think the editing in lost is good because some episodes include a lot of effects. They use a lot of sound effects.

The point of editing is to fix the mistakes made and if no mistakes were made then just to make your show a little more flashy.

Editing is (by one of many definitions) preparing for publication or presentation by correcting or revising a project.

Well since I have taken editing classes I have always liked the editing in James Bond Movies.

The point of editing is to fix any mistakes you made while filming, or its to make the video look nicer and when you edit the end result well have a better flow. Editing is when you take your film and add things like pictures and videos. Also its to cut out the mistakes you made while filming so your video in the end will look much better its also, adding the little finishing details to your video. The show I enjoy the editing of the most is Chelsea Lately.

Editing studio work makes all you're recorded studio project complete and smooth. When playing back you're project it's not very presentable for people to see your mess ups on words you cant pronounce or stutter upon. Editing is taking all footage from video recording and cutting out messed up parts in a project so your able to make the project perfect. In my last quarter class editing was pretty hard because I had to do a show based on television and every time I messed up it would take longer to fix. The more times you do takes the harder it is edit.

editing is used for smooth transitions and multiple camera angles. editing is used to only show the perfect segment or make a segment more perfect or fit easier.
