Obama's win in the presidential election was highly influenced by his effective strategy in mass communications. Obama had a half an hour television broadcast on several large television networks right before the world series. He also ran many television promos excluding that one, but he also did many radio spots as well. Barrack also toured the country vigorously giving speeches to record breaking audiences. He undoubtedly conquered mass media.

I think one of the reason Obama won the election was because of how he communicated with young adults. He spoke and made it easier for anyone to understand even people who didn't know a lot about about politics. And I think mass communications really helped by his tv broadcasts and touring the country to talk to audiences.

Mass Communications has helped Obama win the election in many ways. Obama would have a lot of advertisements and commercials to vote for him. On the internet, different websites had a lot of ads and also on TV, he had commercials running on different chanels. Also on TV, were the Presidential Debates. Obama knew what he was talking about and knew how he was going to talk about certain topics and issues. There were also a lot of articles in magazines and newspapers that let people know what Obama and McCain were doing and what was going on with the election.

Obama's victory was based on how he talking to America and doing things he said he would do. Gas prices are lowering. He said he would eliminate taxes by $50,000 for senior citizens. He made many promises and told America he can fulfill them.

I think that all different types of mass communications helped Obama win this election, from T.V's to the Internet, to News papers. He was able to reach the young population with all this new technology much faster and he really knew what to say to us to convince us to change the ways of our country. Using the Internet he had his own website www.barackobama.com which I know young voters looked at because I happend to look at it myself during school for classes, meaning other people most likely did as well. He also used T.V commercials that drew our attention to him and pretty much made us want to watch them. He was confident in all his debates and campaigns, he mostly always had the answer and would explain it well, so that also got a lot of voters on his side, because people who would be watching at home would actually take the time to watch and listen to what he has to say.

Obama used mass communication in his campaign a lot. What is really fresh in my mind are the Obama infomercials on TV. They reached out to people on one of the most popular sources for mass communications out there, and did so very soon before the election (probably to make sure that it was fresh in the minds of the viewers when they voted). Obama also visited many colleges in his campaign, effectively reaching out to the young voters, who are generally undecided. (I know that's not entirely mass communication, but it was a big part of his campaign.)
The internet was another key thing Obama used for his campaign. By simply googling the word "obama", you suddenly have access to the Obama for America website, even his MySpace page! We all know how popular MySpace is, often describing it with words like youth, etc. Obama is thus showing that he is young, cool, etc. An appealing candidate.

Before the election started Obama was everywhere! You could find him online(Myspace&facebook),T.v's,Radio,
he also had his own website with full coverage of the campaigns . He used mass communications to his full advantage and i think that gave him the extra support he needed. Also he had like television promos during major sport event's .

i couldnt go anywhere without hearing him on the radio or seeing him online/t.v . thank god the election is over because i was getting pretty sick of him

Mass communications has significantly aided Obama in his presidential campaigning these last few months. He had half-hour broadcasts on some major stations while the world series was on, a time when many people will get his message. His campaign site on the internet helped him raise money and tell people his goals. Obama also reached out to young adults with the internet and TV. Also, he used his kindness and stand against the War on Iraq to lure young adults to his side. While visiting many websites you would commonly see an ad for his campaign on the side of the web page. His supporters used Facebook and MySpace to gain more supporters.

Obama won the presidential election because he can speak so well. He knew how to talk to the people and make them interested in what he had to say. Obama also used the television which is a major form of mass communications. He had a 30 min 'commercial' that aired right before the World Series, on channel 4,5,7,25 which are the main stations that people watch. So with the use of the television Obama reached many people. He also had campaign ads on television which was either promoting his campaign or bashing McCain. But that was done on both sides of the presidential race. Barack also uses the internet. He has a website to promote his campaign, and there are many helpful articles on the site to help you learn a little more about him and there are also some articles on U.S current events. On his website Barack also has a blog and anyone can use it. Overall Barack has used the two main types of Mass Communications, and it has helped him win the presidential election of 2008.

Obama won the presidency for the 2008 election!
He used mass communications for his campaign to get himself heard, so people understand what he plans to do as president, and the issues that he is going to work on. Like he used television to put on infomercials, and to put up small commercials that would show him and some of his ideas. They posted those ideas as well, and showed articles about the things he was doing to help the country.

This election has gotten so much coverage, that people all around the world were ecstatic that Obama had pulled the victory.

Mass communication played a huge part in Obama's victory in the election. He has his own internet site with all the information people need, as well as merchandise for sale. Facebook played its part as well. I read that there are over 500 facebook groups for Obama They look for members and encourage people to join. They post information and have debates. This helped sway the young voters towards Obama. TV was also used often. Obama spend an unprecedented amount of money on his campaign-made possible by generous contributions-and much of it went into advertisements. I've seen many of his, and they are well done; capable of convincing people to vote for him. Obama also appeared on many shows, such as the Today Show, to talk about his campaign.

I think Mass Communications has helped Obama in a few ways. Some ways are when I would watch t.v or listen to the radio, and all the time there would be something about Obama and why he would want to be president or just about his life as a little boy. When those advertisments about Obama would come up I new what he was saying and trying to get to. From what I have read younger people are Obama's best voters. The percent of young voters went up by a major percent over the past years.

Obama truly utilized mass communications in his campaign. Using the internet, radio, and television he was able to reach the youth, which many former presidents haven't been able to do. I don't have cable in my house, and due to the phasing out of non-digital television, our signals have become so messy I don't bother watching the television any more. Therefore, I spend most of my time on the internet.Without watching nearly any television for the last 3 months, I was still able to really focus on the Obama administration through there efforts to reach not only the youth, but adults as well, using the internet. This is when I truly realized that the Obama campaign was serious about making use of mass communications.
