Real Sex Education Video & Video Response

This video was made by Victoria Chao '10, Harvard Graduate School of Education as part of a project for her class T-530, Design & Production of Educational Media. She"work-shopped" an early cut with my 3rd period media students and conducted a survey of their opinions. A month later (or so) she produced the final version which is seen below.
From there my students produced a video commenting on her final product. Enjoy!
Great job Victoria!

Best of luck to you all! Take care!

I feel like VIctoria did a really good job with the video and really surprised me. The final video was much better because the rough draft was confusing and I could not understand what the message was.

I watched the rough draft of the video Real Sex Education and I didn't really understood what the message was but after I saw the final video I had a better understanding of what she was trying to say.

In our school we do have a clear explanation of sex education and we do watch different movies and videos to understand it. I do find this video helpful for other kids who don't get the education.

The final draft was a lot better than the first one. The rough draft was a bit not clear, there weren't enough visuals. The final draft had a clear story-line to explain what was happening. Great job.

The sex education video is a great video and gets my attention. In Watertown High School,we get taught great sex ed. Every freshman has to take health in order to graduate so it helps everyone out who has questions about sex ed or wants to know more. I am really happy we have that in our school because if it wasn't for health class, we wouldn't know much about it. Unfortunately some schools don't have sex ed, so the students who don't know anything about sex ed are kept wondering. For school that don't have it, I think they should go talk to their superintendent just like in the video.

I remember watching the video as its rough draft and not really understanding what was going on but this version is so much better. I like how the director used the little brain to express the concerns of the students. I liked how she brought in a serious matter but also made it an easy video to watch for high school students.

This video puts across a great point but it doesn't catch my attention. I think it's too fast and almost all kids already know that they can get information online about sex education.

I thought that the final draft was done nicely. I liked the final video a lot better than the rough draft because it was easier for people to understand.
Even though we have a good Sex Ed. course in our high school already, I think that the video and website could be a very helpful addition.
