Mass Communications is "the study of the various means by which individuals and entities relay information through mass media to large segments of the population at the same time. It is usually understood to relate to newspaper and magazine publishing, radio, television and film, as these are used both for disseminating news and for advertising". This is an example of Mass Communication because this is many people communicating throughout the media and in this it is being expressed through video. Video is a great way to express your feelings and opinions.
According to wikipedia....Mass communication is the term used to describe the (academic study) of the various means by which individuals and entities relay information through mass media to large segments of the population at the same time. It is usually understood to relate to newspaper and magazine publishing, radio, television and film, as these are used both for disseminating news and for (advertising). I still don't feel that this video has anything to do with Academics, study, or advertising. therefor i don't think this video is a form of mass communication.
This video is a from of mass communications because a group of people are communicating their ideas through video of themselves. They are interacting with others through video webcam which is a way of communication and the amount of people in the video would make a mass communication.
The video is like a Asia music song about people singing and dancing. They all might like the song their singing and I think the song was OK. Maybe that is why they call it mass communication the people might want the name to be like that.
This is a form of mass communications because many people are coming together on different computers to make on giant music video. The way everything connects in the video, such as the raindrops going down the screen or the peoples arms connecting shows they put a lot of time into this, and they are connecting. This also shows that everyone is communicating every way possible now, such as video chat, and they turned the video chat into a music video. This video is cool.
This video is not only a form of mass communication, but it also delivers messages through patterns, like when people from different cultures form one face, it means that even though we are all different, we're still the same. It is easier now to communicate with people in different countries, instead on relying on the media for news. This video, in my opinion is significant because there so much multiculturalism.
I definitely think this is a from of Mass Communication because it's a lot of people all communicating together by Web cam and video. Mass communication can be as simple as watching the news or even as complicated as this video with all the patterns and cool things that they do to make them all "united as one".
They are using technology to collaborate and communicate with one another. It seemed like they created great bonds with one another without even meeting.
This video is a form of mass communication in that it uses video recording, music and the internet to convey its message. It also has an individual 'feel' in that it was created by many people using their web cameras.
This video is the definition of mass communication - dozens of people from different geographical and sociological backgrounds come together to contribute individual efforts toward a common goal, transcending distances and languages.
The collaboration required to create this was a form of mass communication in itself. The music behind the video was enhanced creatively, and sharing this online for infinite views makes this project take an evolutionary form depending on it's interpretation and future use.
One element of mass communication apparent here is the soundtrack. Here, we have a couple of amateur musicians from the other side of the world disseminating their song around the world with no other prerequisite than an internet connection.

This isn't a form of mass communications because its just a bunch of people making cool patterns with a web cam.

Mass comm - loud enough to be heard within a wide radius.

The constant connection through hundreds of frames and people reaching out to each other drawing the viewer to ask, "Just how do they do it?"
The collaboration required to create this was a form of mass communication in itself. The music behind the video was enhanced creatively, and sharing this online for infinite views makes this project take an evolutionary form depending on it's interpretation and future use.
