A PSA is a type of advertisement, but rather than regular advertisements, it is not trying to market a product, it is actually trying to get the the public aware of an issue instead. An examples of this would be people apearing on a commercial talking about the importance of AIDS awareness, that would be a PSA.

A PSA (Public Service Announcement) is an advertisement made by the government, or by a non-profit organization, in order to raise public awareness on a certain issue. One such video would be advertisements made by Ronald Reagan or his wife, in which they talked about the danger of drugs, and the then new "War on Drugs". Another example could be Michelle Obama's commercials, found mostly on children's television, talking about healthy diets, exercise, and greener ways of living. A non-government made PSA would be advertisements made by animal shelters, alerting the public to how they could help abandoned or lost animals.

A PSA, or public service announcement, is similar to an advertisement but is not for commercial purposes. PSAs often inform about issues, provide advice, or both. They are intend for the general public's benefit.

A PSA (Public Service Announcement) usually is "advertising" a public or community event, generally for a non-profit organization. It is usually submitted electronically, through the radio, television, or another form of electronic broadcast. PSA's can also cover health and safety, and well as law and conduct. I recall doing this in October, only in a separate post. There were numerous PSAs released during the H1N1 (or was it N1H1? I can never remember) scare. There were already plenty about regular flu. Rose found one with Michelle Obama and Elmo talking about health an exercise. These are examples of PSAs. The Savings videos we did were a form of PSAs, because we weren't specifically advertising anything but saving money. PSAs are not very hard to make.

A PSA is a public service announcement. It is a video that helps raise awareness to a problem or cause in a community or in the world. Their topics can range from anything such as drugs or disease. PSAs are often made by the government to inform people about major issues. Non-profit organizations also make PSAs about the issues they oppose for example the animal rights organization PETA has made many PSAs.
