One of my favorite movies is The Dark Knight directed by Christopher Nolan and edited by Lee Smith. This is one of my favorite movies because it was filled with action and and contained a great plot that kept me on the edge of my seat. Some other movies that Smith has edited include, this summer's block buster Inception (also directed by Nolan) and Batman Begins (Nolan). Film editing is important because its what brings the movie together and what keeps it from being a bunch of clips put together. The film editor has to put the clips in an order that both makes sense and keeps the movie entertaining. Here is an interview with Christopher Nolan himself on the movie The Dark Knight
