The radio comedy I chose was This is My Best: Miss Dilly Says No.

Some of the sound effects was a phone ringing, people laughing, and opening a letter.

The story was about Miss Dilly who is in love with a man who doesn't realize she loves him.

I chose the Bob Hope show, mainly because back in the day of radio, he and his talk show were very popular, and his popularity has persisted and has stayed consistent for many, many years (and I can see why; he's very funny!). There are no sound effects used, unless the crowd laughing and clapping is an effect ( I can't tell -- It could be, but it sounds realistic. He could very well be just broadcasting a show on the radio as opposed to a radio show.)
There is no story; it's really just Bob Hope telling jokes and funny stories. The stories are short, and the plots range from Bob meeting a new neighbor as a child, to Bob Hope being a Santa Claus at a store.

The radio comedy I choose was Ethal and Albert. There were no sound effects in it. Both of the characters mostly talked throughout the whole show. The story was about Ethal, Albert's wife had got a job and Albert didn't want her to work. Albert had a job and it supported the both of them at home. Ethal still rebelled against him and wanted to help out also with their family. Albert would come to her job and check up on her.

I chose the radio program It pays to Be Ignorant. It takes the form of a game show it seems where guests are asked random questions and give their insights on the topic. It didn't have many sound effects but had some lengthy portions of old timer music. Like I said it took the form of a game show so It didnt have a story but it was still very interesting and even funny at times. The host of the show is constantly making fun of the guests, this can be seen when an old lady on the show said she did some depressing in the morning, the game show host quickly said "you woke up".

I listened to the comedy "A Date With Judy." It was about how the most important dance of the year was two weeks away and Judy was worried that the guy she liked, Oggie, wouldn't ask her out. She was walking back and forth asking people what time it so Judy's footsteps were sound affects. Judy also turned the radio on so I heard music being played which was another sound affect.

Father Knows Best, The Bad Barbecue

laughing, clapping

the family was trying to build a barbecue pit for a party they were having with these two friends on saturday, the father was making the son do most of the work while one of the daughters reads how to build it in a magazine, then they find out that the same saturday the second daughter was having a homecoming party and they figured one would be inside the other outside the house. While building the son realized it didn't sound right until the first daughter said fill the pit with water and they looked at the directions and realized the daughter was telling them how to build a bird bath instead of a barbecue pit.

I chose Batman- The Dumphrey Monster.

There weren't many sound effects to it, just people talking in a very bad quality.

The story had to do with Batman finding the monster that was terrorizing the people in a small community in England.

The comedy i chose was Blondie: Alexander the actor.

Like the drama radio show, there was lots of percussion and bells and lots of laughter, and static.

The first minute or so was an advertisement for a new Ford car.
In the show it sounded like someone trying to clean up the house, and someone visiting offering an acting job.

The radio comedy I choose was Date With Judy ; Dress for the dance.

They had sound effects for the strangest things ever like a pen moving and changing clothes , stranger but it was funny .

It was a story about a teenage girl named judy who was getting ready for a dance but as the title she could not find a dress for it . pretty lame story and had a lot of dry jokes ,

I chose to listen to "This is my Best: Miss Dilly Says No."
Some of the sound effects were the sound of the audience laughing, humming, music, typing, a person falling, etc.

Its about this woman, named Miss Dilly, who is a writer and has written 2 dozen stories a year, but none of them get published. She helps a man on the board of directors when he comes down to the annual meeting. She is flirting with him, and likes him. The one day she gets her book published, but she doesn't want her name on it, because she doesn't want to loose her job (because she looks to her meeting with the man once a year.) Every company wants to buy her book, and she's making a good amount of money.

The radio comedy that I chose was a "Barrel of Fun."

Some of the sound effects included: door knocking, slamming doors, loud footsteps (and possibly the crowd laughing)

The story is about a man who is struggling with money because he spends it all as soon as he has earned it. When asked to pay his bills or his fines, the man tricks them out of it. He is looking for money when he wins a contest for which the prize, is money.

Some of the sounds effects were people laughing, clapping and a organ playing.

The story was about a girl named Judy who got asked out on a date by a boy but she could not go because it was her fathers birthday. Judy and her sister want to find their father a perfect birthday gift..but that does not work to well. They could not find a gift so they decide to spend the whole day with their father and make him happy. He decides that he does not want to be happy and spend the whole day with his daughters because of his job. The daughters talked to a man that the father was going to have a meeting with and he cancled on him. The daughters got to take the father out for his birthday but he does not seem to happy.

The radio comedy I chose was, "It Pays to be Ignorant." The sound effects consisted of music and an audience laughing. The comedy wasn't a story, but was presented in a talk/game show format. The host of this game show acts as the ring leader to the chaotic circus of guests and contestants. The guest is asked a question, and if he gets it wrong, he is awarded a small sum of cash. The show has a back and forth routine between the host and the two sidekicks, giving the show a Regis and Kelly type of feeling. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this program.

The radio comedy I chose was Barrel of Fun: Charlie Ruggles. Some of the sound effects were people clapping, people laughing, door opening and closing, knocking on a door, foot steps. It is about a man who owes a lot of people money but he tricks them into forgetting it, or he confuses him.

i listened to Johnny of the circus:showdown with major mike. There weren't any sound affects really. The plot was about a fight between major mike and clara in the circus. Johnny, who works at the circus, helped the ring master figured out it was major mike who pulled a prank on her.

I choose Barrel of Fun: Charlie is Broke. It was really good. There were some sound effects like foot-steps, doors swinging, people knocking the door, and some other minor effects. The sound effects were the same as in the dramas section we listened last time. There were sounds of the crowd laughing when something funny happen, but I am not sure whether that was a real stage performance or some kind of sound effect.

It was about a guy who is broke and luckily he won a grand prize and won a lot of money but again unfortunately he didn't get the prize as he reached there late..
