Invisible Children

Invisible Children is an organization dedicated to stopping the longest war in African history. They tell the story of those affected by the war through videos. In school the other day we watched two short videos describing the tragedies that are occurring in this war every single day. Children being kidnapped and trained as killers, being witness to their families being murdered, and over destruction of society. There is a need to help end these atrocities and Invisible Children is trying to do so.
In the documentaries they interviewed some children who had been kidnapped but managed to escaped. One of the children recanted how he had been witness to his brothers shooting and told if he cried out he would be killed. He was so scared he kept quite. There were also interviews of mothers who's children had been kidnapped and never returned to them. These documentaries were sad and inspirational to those watching them. It was inspiring people to get involved with Invisible Children or start something new to fight this war.
