Movie Review: 2012

Movie director Roland Emmerich has succeeded in doing one thing, creating yet another action movie with rebuffed visual and audio effects. 2012 is no different than any other action movie except that it had more digital effects in it. The story is decent, but the main attempt to captivate the audience comes from mindless action scenes which were highly predictable and rarely contributed to the story or the movie as a whole. It has some mild humor, and presents some political beliefs that are unnecessary in any movie that wasn't intended to be political. From the start one can predict the rest of the movie, it provides no twists or anything which would make the story more interesting. On top of it all it also pushes a good amount of political unrealism that becomes an annoyance. This move gets 3.5 stars for being a barely decent plot with a lot of effects.
