The Invisible Children

The Invisible Children is an organization working to free abducted child soldiers from warring countries in Africa. The fighting began in Northern Uganda, with the Lord's Resistance Program (LRA) led by Joseph Kony. It has spread to other countries in Africa, such as The Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, and Southern Sudan. This war is the longest running war in Africa, and these countries are currently the most violent in the world.

This organization has been working since 2003 to raise awareness about the children being abducted by Kony and forced to do unmentionable horrors that will inevitably scar them for life. They do this through documentaries and appearances at schools, like the one at our school yesterday. They have people like Brenda, a survivor of a raid on her village who lost her father, come to talk to audiences to encourage them to help out. Money is constantly being raised to help the situation in Africa, and you can even track where your money goes to online.
