As Principals face less money for their schools, supplies, teachers, and classes are being cut. Extra curricular classes such as sports, arts, and tutoring are disappearing fast, along with the teachers that run them. And it's not just the teachers that are saddened, it's the students as well.
As shown in the New York Times online article,
A New Meaning For Cutting Classes, 36% of the cuts principals made where towards supplies for the school. That means that pencils, paper, and equipment was cut back, which can eventually cripple the school that needs it.
