UNESCO is an organization that helps promote the ideas of equality and peace in the world thorough educating countries that don't have a standard school system or in some cases no schools at all. The goal of this organization is to prevent terrorism and world discrimination through educating third world countries that have these problems so they can realize how destructing it is to have prejudice against others. The U.S. works with UNESCO in the field of ocean science and are working on a global warning system incase of any hazards such as natural disasters. Americas first member to UNESCO was Archibal MacLeish, a poet and statesman who helped draft the organizations 1945 constitution. I think this is a good oganization because it helps third world countries end the cycle of poverty by educating the kids so they can do something better with their lives.
