Tire Tariff

President Obama proposed a new tariff on all tires imported from China which raised disputes from Chinese automotive companies. It is common knowledge that he vast majority of cars in the United States are imported from China, making the tariff on tires imported an extremely large expense in the oversea trade. Which brings me to m next point. You know what really grinds my gears? How the U.S. is beginning to be over dependent on foreign countries, mainly China, in the larger portion of our imports, (cars) if anything were to happen to these countries, less say a war or natural disaster, we wouldn't have the neccessary sources to supply the United State's excessive need. Gasoline for example, like cars, is imported mainly from countries in the middle east, and when we invaded Iraq it was evident that we depended on those countries far too much. I strongly believe that we should tap into Americas resources, and search for alternate fuels so we can reduce our world dependency.
