Man on Wire

The 2008 film Man on Wire chronicles the 1974 stunt in which French tight rope walker Philippe Petit walked across the world trade centers. The film does not focus at all on the 9/11 attacks, but rather on the ability for humans to do crazy things, like walking across the twin towers. The film shows the plot that was used to complete the stunt by using TV clips, interviews, still photos, and reenactments.
The film won the Academy Award for best documentary in 2008, the grand jury prize at the 2008 Sundance Festival, along with many other awards, and is considered one of the best documentaries of all time, appearing on many top 10 lists.
